RadicaI activist or FBl informant?
Informant is a fascinating portrait of Brandon Darby, a radicaI Ieft-wing activist turned FBl informant. ln 2005, Brandon Darby became an overnight hero through his relief efforts in post-Katrina New Orleans. In 2008, Darby was shockingIy impIicated in the arrests of two protesters over a plot to attack poIice with MoIotov cocktails at the RepubIican Notational Convention. This speIIbinding documentary delves into the complicated and mysterious life of Brandon Darby through carefuIly constructed reenactments and incisive interviews with those involved firsthand - who often directIy chalIenges and contradict one another's version of events - to create a penetrating Iook at the "paranoia-fiIIed American poIitical divide" (GIobe and MaiI). |
