| Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem star in this psychological horror written and directed by Darren Aronofsky. The film follows a successful poet (Bardem) and his young wife (Lawrence) as they settle in to their new home in the remote countryside. Their peacefuI existence is soon shattered however, as they are joined at the house by some uninvited guests including a doctor (Ed Harris), his wife (MicheIIe Pfeiffer) and two brothers (DomhnalI and Brian Gleeson). With mysterious visitors continuing to arrive at the house, the wife's fragiIe mentaI state quickIy deteriorates as she begins to experience a number of increasingIy threatening and disturbing visions. |
