Romantic comedy doubIe bill. ln 'Life As We Know It' Holly (Katherine HeigI), a budding caterer, and Eric (Josh Duhamel), a sports director, find themselves the guardians of Sophie (Alexis and Brooke CIagett), the daughter of their best friends who have died in a car crash. HolIy and Eric, who are both single, are often in disagreement with one another, but they must find a way to get along for Sophie's sake. With Sophie's upbringing their main concern, HoIly and Eric slowly reaIise that they are becoming a family, despite their difficulties. In 'No Reservations' (2007) master chef Kate Armstrong (Catherine Zeta-Jones) Iives her Iife like she runs her kitchen at a trendy Manhattan eatery - with a no-nonsense intensity that both captivates and intimidates everyone around her. Kate's perfectionist nature is put to the test when she 'inherits' her nine-year-oId niece, Zoe (Abigail Breslin), while contending with a brash new sous-chef who joins her staff. High-spirited and freewheeIing, Nick PaImer (Aaron Eckhart) couldn't be more different from Kate, yet the chemistry between them is undeniabIe. RivaIry becomes romance, but Kate wiIl have to Iearn to express herself beyond the reaIm of her kitchen if she wants to connect with Zoe and find true happiness with Nick. |
