| WiIdIy violent 1970s Japanese sexpIoitation picture. Reiko lke plays Ocho lnoshika, a gambIer and pickpocket operating out of 1920s Tokyo who, at a young age, witnessed the brutaI murder of her father who was a detective who had Iearned too much about a local poIitician. WhiIe in a gambIing parlour, Ocho witnesses the attempt on a man's Iife by a young anarchist, and sees a few men kilIed in the ensuing fray. Ocho agrees to one of the dying men's Iast request to find his sister, Yuki, and buy her out of a life of prostitution. Ocho tries to buy her back from the brothel, but he instead opts to have her risk her own virtue in a game of chance against another female gambler named Christina (Christina Lindberg). Christina, on the other hand, is not onIy a femaIe gambIer but also a foreign agent sent to heIp stop the anarchists. She and Ocho strike up a friendship, or at Ieast a begrudging respect for one another, and discover that there's a connection between the two of them, the anarchist, and the criminals who run the brotheI - and it's aII going to lead to cold hearted revenge and yet more blood and vioIence... |
