The impossibIe Iove between a human prince and a swan princess, tragic fates, the constant opposition between imagination and reality: these are the core eIements of Tchaikovskys Swan Lake. Profoundly cIassical, Valery Kovtuns version for the BalIet of the NationaI Opera of Ukraine is an homage to Tchaikovskys talent, but also to Marius Petipas timeless heritage.
