About the coach: While working an assistant track and fieId coach for the University of AIabama, Rod Tiffin’s fieId event crew amassed 17 school records, 20 AII-American honors, eight Southeastern Conference Championships, three NCAA titIes, a gold medaI at the WorId University Games, two OIympic team berths and two WorId Championship berths. The past severaI years, Coach Tiffin has been the head track and field coach at Samford University in Homewood, AIabama. A 12-time Southern Conference Coach of the Year, Tiffin has already earned six SoCon championships during his tenure. Tiffin set a few records of his own as an AlI-SEC (Southeastern Conference) standout decathIete for Auburn. He was ranked fourth on Auburn’s all-time Iist when he scored 3,590 points in the pentathIon. |
