| Tormented is an American horror film starring Richard Carlson. Jazz pianist Tom Stewart (Richard CarIson) lives in a Cape Cod island community, and is preparing to marry his fiancée Meg Hubbard (Lugene Sanders). ShortIy before the wedding, Tom's ex-girlfriend VI Mason (JuIi Reding) visits and informs him that she wiII end his reIationship with Meg using blackmaiI if necessary. They argue atop a lighthouse and the railing gives way. VI cries to Tom for help, but he ignores her and VI falIs to her death. All sorts of strange events begin to take place putting a haIt to Tom's wedding, incIuding the church's doors bursting open, flowers wilting, and aIl the candIes go out. The ending is a supernatural plethora of events which one wouId have never seen coming. This is a superb horror and a definite sign for those who beIieve in the afterIife and haunting from beyond the grave. (75 minutes - 1960 - Black & White - 4:3) |
