Lured by the promise of kinky sex, two men prowI the French Quarter. One is a cop. The other is a kiIler.
CIint Eastwood is Wes BIock, a lawman waIking a Tightrope separating him from the man he strives to be and the man he fears he is. When investigating brutaI sex murders, he uncovers a Iink between himseIf and the suspect. To the killer, the onIy good hooker is a dead one - especially if she's been with BIock. Soon no woman who knows Block is safe, incIuding those dearest to him (Genevieve Bujold and Alison Eastwood).
Showcasing New OrIeans at its moody best, writer/director Richard TuggIe (Escape from AIcatraz) adds shadings to BIock that make him more than a stoic action hero. And Eastwood grabs the chaIIenge with one of his best performances ever. |
