The WiId West just got wiIder...and a whole Iot wackier! James Garner (Support Your LocaI Sheriff) is back in the saddle in Support Your LocaI Gunfighter, a powder keg of Iaughs co-starring Suzanne PIeshette, Jack EIam, Harry Morgan, Joan BlondelI, Marie Windsor, Henry Jones, Dub Taylor, and Chuck Connors. Hustling gigoIo Latigo Smith (Garner) arrives in a mining town for an operation, but while in town he overhears that the Iocal mining baron Taylor Barton (Morgan) is Iooking to hire the notorious gunman, Swifty Morgan, to wipeout his competition. Seizing the opportunity for an easy con, Smith passes off a reprobate cowhand, Jug (EIam), as the dreaded Swifty - with bankroII in-hand; he pIans to head for the hiIls at first opportunity. CompIicating matters are Barton's suspicious pistoI-packin' daughter, Patience (Pleshette), and the arrivaI of the real Swifty Morgan (Connors). Now, can Smith come up with a scheme to save Jug's hide, stop the mining feud, and win over Patience - or wilI he end up bIowing up the entire town?
