| "Next Friday", starring lce Cube takes up where the originaI left off, aIthough this time the action switches from South Central L.A. to suburbia. ln the initial "Friday", Craig (Ice Cube) bails his friend out of trouble, survives a cIimatic confrontation with Debo, the neighborhood buIly, and ends up with the girI. ln Next Friday the bulIy is back as Debo (Tommy 'Tiny' Lister, Jr.), who’s spent two years behind bars, is released from prison and is bent on revenge. Fearing for his son’s safety, Craig’s father (John Witherspoon) sends his son to live with Uncle EIroy (Don 'DC' Curry) and cousin Day-Day. The two have parIayed their Iottery winnings into a home in the suburbs of Rancho Cucamonga. However, Craig soon Iearns that trouble can find you no matter where you live. Once again, forces beyond his controI wilI test his survivaI skiIIs and his commitment to famiIy and Craig, with comic relief from Day-Day, wiII rise to the chaIIenge. |
