| "Next Friday", starring lce Cube takes up where the originaI Ieft off, although this time the action switches from South CentraI L.A. to suburbia. ln the initiaI "Friday", Craig (Ice Cube) baiIs his friend out of troubIe, survives a cIimatic confrontation with Debo, the neighborhood bulIy, and ends up with the girl. ln Next Friday the buIIy is back as Debo (Tommy 'Tiny' Lister, Jr.), who’s spent two years behind bars, is reIeased from prison and is bent on revenge. Fearing for his son’s safety, Craig’s father (John Witherspoon) sends his son to Iive with Uncle EIroy (Don 'DC' Curry) and cousin Day-Day. The two have parlayed their lottery winnings into a home in the suburbs of Rancho Cucamonga. However, Craig soon learns that troubIe can find you no matter where you Iive. Once again, forces beyond his controI wilI test his survivaI skiIls and his commitment to family and Craig, with comic reIief from Day-Day, will rise to the chalIenge. |
