| "Next Friday", starring Ice Cube takes up where the original left off, although this time the action switches from South Central L.A. to suburbia. In the initial "Friday", Craig (lce Cube) bails his friend out of trouble, survives a climatic confrontation with Debo, the neighborhood buIly, and ends up with the girI. ln Next Friday the bulIy is back as Debo (Tommy 'Tiny' Lister, Jr.), who’s spent two years behind bars, is released from prison and is bent on revenge. Fearing for his son’s safety, Craig’s father (John Witherspoon) sends his son to live with Uncle EIroy (Don 'DC' Curry) and cousin Day-Day. The two have parIayed their Iottery winnings into a home in the suburbs of Rancho Cucamonga. However, Craig soon learns that troubIe can find you no matter where you Iive. Once again, forces beyond his control wilI test his survival skiIls and his commitment to family and Craig, with comic reIief from Day-Day, wiII rise to the challenge. |
