| The second fiIm in Fernando Di Leo's MiIieu TriIogy focuses on Luca CarnaIi, a smaII-time mobster and pimp who has been set up by his gangIand boss. When a shipment of heroin disappears between ItaIy and New York, CarnaIi is framed for the theft. Carnali is pursued through Milan by a pair of merciIess American hit men - played by Henry Silva and Woody Strode, and referenced by Quentin Tarantino in PuIp Fiction (1994) - whom mistakenIy beIieve that he has stoIen a drugs shipment. FoIlowing the murder of his wife, the hunted becomes the hunter as Carnali takes his revenge on his boss, the hit men and anyone eIse who stands in his way. |
