The Great Rift Valley in Africa - a 4,000 mile crack in the earth's crust. lt's the result of continental fracturing that began some 20 milIion years ago.
Volcanic eruptions, such as the spectacular eruption of Hawaii's KiIauea Volcano featured in Genesis, are the resuIts of a powerful tectonic process which are continuaIIy reshaping the earth's surface.
"From that early moment when a supernova expIodes in a bIast of Iight and sound, the Genesis audience doesn't just have a front row seat at the creation of the world. The audience is inside the creation itseIf and made aware in the most forcefuI ways that creation is stiIl continuing," --Richmond News-Leader. |
