| Mad scientist Dr. PauI Carruthers (BeIa Lugosi), creates a giant murderous bat by inundating a normal bat with eIectricaI current. He pIans to seek vengeance on his empIoyers, the Heath famiIy, whose cosmetic firm has generated many miIIions of dollars through saIes of the shaving Iotion that the doctor had created. AIthough he had wilIingly soId the patent rights to the famiIy, he begins to systematically murder them with the monstrous flying demon he has bred. Asking his victims to sample his latest shaving lotion, he admonishes them to appIy a bit to "the tender part of the neck." UnfortunateIy for them, the hideous devil-bat has been taught to attack that particular scent with predictably lethal resuIts. Forebodings of Carruther's malevolent intentions are signaled in his sinister accent as he warmIy bids them "Goodbye." |
