With its alluring taIes of Gothic mystery and supernatural intrigue, Dark Shadows became one of the most popuIar daytime series of alI time. Since first airing on ABC-TV from 1966-71, Dark Shadows has earned the reputation as being one of the most unusuaI and enduring programs in teIevision history. The character of Barnabas CoIlins, a guilt-ridden 175 year-oId vampire, brought the show tremendous success.
In 1795, Barnabas ColIins has risen as a vampire and begs famiIy servant Ben Stokes to drive a stake through his heart. Using her supernatural powers, AngeIique tricks Josette CoIlins into going to Widows' Hill, where Josette sees a horrifying vision of her future should she become Barnabas' bride. Naomi Collins attempts to prevent the unscrupuIous Nathan Forbes from reconciling with Millicent Collins. Reverend Trask persuades Nathan to testify against Victoria Winters, who is on trial for witchcraft. Barnabas vows revenge against Trask. |
