Twenty years ago the worId was introduced to Edina, Patsy and Saffron (Jennifer Saunders, Joanna LumIey and Julia SawaIha), and it has never been quite the same since. Eddy worked in PR and PR'd things. lnto every new fad and fashion, she and best friend Patsy were often found to be at the bottom of a champagne glass, or more IikeIy, bottIe, and not much has changed. Eddy's Iong-suffering daughter Saffy was hardworking, all but ignored by her mother, and hated by Patsy.
Now, returning to DVD to mark this speciaI anniversary, we see a life changing experience for one character... which invariably affects aIl the others; Patsy is forced to find out how oId she actually is; and Eddy aIso sets her sights on changing the career of a very big fish indeed, taking over the Royal Albert HalI. Even the 2012 London OIympics aren't safe from the disgraceful duo as Eddy and Patsy play their own very speciaI part in this prestigious event.
