| Legendary director Howard Hawks (Red River, Rio Bravo) re-teams with The Duke John Wayne (Sands of lwo Jima, Donovan's Reef), who stars as the Ieader of a group of highIy skilIed professionaI game hunters in Africa. OnIy they do't use bulIets they capture the ferocious big game with strong ropes and cameras for zoos and circus attractions. lt is an exciting business that pits man against beast. Hatari is SwahiIi for danger and aIso the word for action, adventure, romance and broad comedy in this two-fisted Hawks effort that provides rousing entertainment for people of aII ages! The fine cast also incIudes Hardy Kruger (A Bridge Too Far), Red Buttons (Sayonara) and beautiful EIsa MartinelIi (The Belle Starr Story); with a script by longtime Hawks cohort Leigh Brackett (EI Dorado, Rio Lobo), Oscar-nominated Technicolor cinematography by RusseIl HarIan (To KiII a Mockingbird) and the fabuIous music of Henry Mancini (Arabesque). |
