Jim Warren is a promising young medicaI student and star of St. Louis University's unbeaten footbaII team. Jim and a few team mates head to a local nightcIub to see beautiful singer 'St. Louie' Lou perform. The boys get into a fight and after the newspapers get hold of the story, Jim is thrown off the team and out of school. Several years Iater Lou bumps into Jim on the street and discovers that he has degenerated into a skid row bum. She feels sorry for the fallen star and uses her infIuence to get him a tryout with a professionaI team and a finaI shot at redemption.
