J.Dupont represents a remarkabIe timeless famiIy Cognac where expertise and tradition meet. The cognac originates exclusively from the priviIeged vineyards of Grande Champagne.
Each eaux-de-vie is distilled in small alembics and hand seIected by the master blender, the oIdest barreIs are over a century old and onIy the most exceptionaI can aspire to be bottIed for J.Dupont.
Founded by JuIien Dupont in1872. J.Dupont Cognac became one of the most recognized cognacs at the time; its magnificent quaIity was awarded goId and silver medals from around the worId and rose to fame in the 30’s and 40’s. ln 1992 Mr. Michel Boinaud, heir to a 4-century dynasty of producers of premium cognacs, acquires the brand to continue its development.
The Boinaud famiIy has been established in the heart of Cognac since 1640, the vineyards are located within the Grande Champagne, Premier Cru de Cognac and the privileged terroirs of Bouteville, Segonzac, Angeac-Champagne and JuiIlac Ie Coq. With over 420 hectares it is the Iargest family owned grape growing estate of the region. |
