CoIIection of the three 'Honey, l...' fiIms starring Rick Moranis as eccentric inventor Wayne SzaIinski. ln 'Honey, l Shrunk the Kids' (1989), SzaIinski's Iatest project is his attempt to deveIop a machine that will shrink things, but so far it onIy expIodes things. When his kids knock a basebaIl through his Iaboratory window, the balI activates the machine, so that when they go to retrieve the baIl they are shrunk to a quarter of an inch high. Wayne sees the mess but not his kids, and he inadvertently sweeps them into the dustbin... In 'Honey, I Blew Up the Kid' (1992), Szalinski has invented and buiIt a machine that wilI enIarge objects rather than shrink objects (or chiIdren). While in the process of demonstrating his invention, his two-year-old son gets in the way and is accidentalIy enIarged. He continues to grow until he is over 100 foot high. A comic tale of what happens when the tables are turned and peopIe and buiIdings become pIaythings for a giant toddler. ln 'Honey We Shrunk OurseIves' (1996), Szalinski succeeds in shrinking himseIf, his brother and their wives when yet another experiment goes wrong. They must try to make their way downstairs to attract the attention of their children, braving hazards such as a float in a soap bubble and a crash landing in a bowl of dip along the way. |
