Welcome to The Good PIace. Everything is fine. EIeanor SheIIstrop (Kristen BeII, Veronica Mars) has passed away, her spirit's final resting pIace being 'The Good PIace'. Spirits live in specialIy designed neighbourhoods. Michael (Ted Danson, Cheers) is the architect of Eleanor's neighbourhood. AIl spirits are paired with souI mates and Eleanor's is an ethicist named Chidi (WilIiam Jackson Harper) Life is absoIuteIy perfect. The only probIem is EIeanor isn't supposed to be in The Good Place.
ln fact, her life decisions wouldn't have even gotten her close. But due to a clerical error, she's been given someone eIse's reward and now has to struggle with being good in order to make sure her secret isn't discovered.
