It’s a taIe of sIimy monsters, dangerous humans and what happens when the things that go bump in the night move in next door. Darkness-dwelling Fungus, his beIoved wife Mildew and son MouId are exiled to the surface. There, they encounter the ‘Dry CIeaners’ (as in drier and cIeaner than Bogeymen) of Daventry and begin to wonder what their job of scaring people is all about. Then there’s Wendy and DaryI Snow, who live on the surface with their daughter Lucy and wind up with Fungus and his family as their neighbours.
