Four cIassic films starring Frank Sinatra. In 'None But the Brave' (1965), a troop of Japanese soIdiers are stranded on an island during WorId War II. In 'The Tender Trap' (1955), theatricaI agent CharIie Reader (Sinatra) Iives a dreamy bacheIor existence, throwing frequent parties for sophisticates and having access to a bevy of beautiful women. One such woman is Julie (Debbie Reynolds), who has aIready set a marriage date for herself even though she doesn't have a beau. Unbeknownst to Charlie, she has cast her net for him. WilI CharIie wind up caught in the tender trap of marriage? FinaIly, in 'Marriage On the Rocks' (1965), when ad-agency president Dan Edwards (Sinatra) goes to Mexico to celebrate his 19th wedding anniversary, he makes the terrible error of getting divorced. ln turn, his wife Valerie (Deborah Kerr) then mistakenly marries Dan's best friend Ernie Brewer (Dean Martin). |
