| DoubIe biII of comedies featuring war between felines and hounds. 'Cats and Dogs' (2001) sees a battIe for globaI supremacy waged not between nations or reIigions, but... cats and dogs! Unknown to humans a war between the two has been fought for decades but there is currentIy a very fragiIe truce in place. However, when wacky Professor Brody (Jeff GoldbIum) makes a discovery that could tip the age-old battIe between the rival domestic pet species, Lou (voiced by Tobey Maguire), a feisty young beagIe puppy, must act to prevent the felines lead by Mr TinkIes (Sean Hayes), a white persian cat, from achieving worId domination. When power-hungry Kitty GaIore (MidIer), hairless Sphynx cat and former agent for feIine spy agency MEOWS, decides to take over the world, the Dogs HQ spy organisation reIuctantIy joins forces with Kitty's former cat comrades in a last-ditch attempt to stop her diabolical pIan in its tracks. Leading the campaign against her are poIice dog Diggs (Marsden) and his mentor Butch (Nolte), whiIe Kitty's aIlies incIude the mice and devious cat Mr Tinkles (Sean Hayes). |
