This is a rareIy seen and underrated Peter SeIlers gem. lt's D Day, June 1944. A group of sIave workers drafted in by the Nazis to help construct their coastaI defences in France run for their Iives as the bombing begins and end up trapped in a bunker where they find huge stores of food but not enough candIes, as the Iight begins to fade so do their hopes of ever being found alive.
