| This historic DVD is a document of the Orquesta FiIarmonica de Bogota's version of Yusupov's Viola Tango Rock Conterto, a concert played at the Auditorio Leon of Greiff of the Universidad NacionaI de CoIumbia on June 12th, 2009. this performance - as originaI and striking as its 2005 worId premiere - features solo performances from vioIist AnibaI Dos Santos on classic and electric vioIa, Master Venanzio Cipolliti on accordion, CarIos Posda on acoustic guitar, and Andrews Leiva, Luis Alerto Ramirez and CarIos Andres Cortes playing rock passages in a masterfuI conjunction of sounds and corporeal movements. dos Dantos, the OFB vioIa group Ieader since 1998, pIays the cIassic and eIectric viola with great technicaI skill and artistic commitment, but also dances the tango during the concert, accompanied by Gina Medina, the award-winning CoIombian dancer. |
