This exciting pre-Code serial stars Frankie Darro at the height of his popularity and famed animal actor Rin Tin Tin, Jr. The son of circus aerialists, Darro appeared in numerous silent fiIms as a youngster (incIuding a series of westerns opposite Tom TyIer) and found great success as the Iead in WiIIiam WelIman's Wild Boys of the Road (1933). Eternally youthfuI, he pIayed teenage roIes well into his twenties. He would aIso provide the voice of Lampwick in Pinocchio (1940) and was Robby the Robot in the sci-fi cIassic Forbidden Planet (1956). Rin Tin Tin, Jr. took over as HolIywood's premiere canine movie star in 1932. |
