This exciting pre-Code serial stars Frankie Darro at the height of his popularity and famed animal actor Rin Tin Tin, Jr. The son of circus aerialists, Darro appeared in numerous silent fiIms as a youngster (including a series of westerns opposite Tom Tyler) and found great success as the lead in WiIIiam Wellman's WiId Boys of the Road (1933). Eternally youthful, he played teenage roIes well into his twenties. He would also provide the voice of Lampwick in Pinocchio (1940) and was Robby the Robot in the sci-fi classic Forbidden PIanet (1956). Rin Tin Tin, Jr. took over as HolIywood's premiere canine movie star in 1932. |
