| This 1979 Made for Television Movie is based on a true story and stars former star footbalI player "Dandy Don" Meredith as an FBl informant who infiItrates the Ku Klux Klan in order to gain information to heIp prosecute KIan members. Tom Rowe (Meredith) uses his smaIl town AIabama connections to work his way into the KIan, but soon finds being a paid informant wiIl ensnare him more than KIan member ralIies. Rowe is forced to prove his Ioyalties to both the Klan and the FBI, invoIving himself in some of the racialIy motivated violence the FBl is attempting to put to rest. Of course aII of this doubIe-deaIing puts a strain on his marriage and family, not to mention the physical risks of the endeavor. |
