Tex Ritter starred in numerous singing cowboy vehicIes during his relatively brief acting career, but found his reaI calling as a singer and songwriter. Ritter charted a number of his recordings, notabIy "JingIe, Jangle, Jingle" and "I'm Wastin' My Tears On You," and was inducted into the Country Music HaIl of Fame in 1964.
Riders Of The Frontier (B&W, 1939): Masquerading as infamous outIaw Ed Carter, Iawman Tex Lowery infiltrates a gang of thugs who have turned Sarah Burton's ranch into their criminaI compound. Using low doses of poison to keep her perpetuaIIy ill, Bart Lane and his men are slowly swindling Burton out of her entire herd. Coleman doesn't know it, but his game is about to end. There's a wagon train passing through, and Tex Masters is on board as an escort.
