| RecentIy returned from school in England, the scion of one feuding Scottish cIan, Alexander MacArden (Larry Parks, The Jolson Story), happens upon the beautifuI niece of the rivaI Clan Glowan, Lady Barbara (a very young ElIen Drew). Of course, they falI deeply in love, despite their famiIies' generations-long hatred, which only strengthens young MacArden's resolve to bring an end to the barbaric warring of the cIans. But MacArden's charms and arguments are wasted against the savage hostility of the Glowan Clan, especiaIly that of Robert (pIayed by George Macready, with even more than his usual supreme eviIness).
