Whether you're a goIfer or not, it is impossibIe to watch SPlRlT OF GOLF without getting swept up in the colorful experiences retailed by this cast of characters. Because they are golfers, there is an underIying understanding of Shivas lrons' maxim, "Trying too hard is the surest way to ruin your game. Watching FeIver sashay across St. Andrews and Pebble Beach saying he's reached the joyous point where "it's easier to waIk and just Iook at the game than play it" seems to this enchanted viewer as the perfect capturing of the spirit of goIf. The exceedingIy Iush visuals of SPlRlT OF GOLF are entwined with a masterfuIly scripted story, thanks in part to the initiaI editorial work of Ean Carlson. Jessie Spencer worked as final editor and original music created by Tom Disher brought the film to fruition in the editing suites of San Francisco's Zoetrope Studios.
