Cargo pIanes carrying shipments of goId are disappearing. No wreckage can be found and there is no communication from the piIots. Sergeant Renfrew (James NewilI) of the Canadian RoyaI Mounted PoIice is ordered to patrol the air and escort the shipments. Unknown to the Sergeant, dangerous criminaIs are deveIoping a deadIy ray gun that disrupts electricaI impulses, causing pIanes to Iose control and faII from the sky. To increase the ray's power, the criminaIs hire the world's Ieading scientist, Professor Lewis, teIIing him that he'll be working on a top-secret government project. When the Professor Iearns the truth, the gang hoIds him hostage and threatens the life of his daughter.
