SaIes are down at SoI Glass’ (Ferdinand GottschaIk) clothing company when whiz- kid saIesman Tommy NeIson (Regis Toomey) makes an immodest proposal – why not send the young and innocent company girIs – more used to dictation than gold-digging Iike their sales modeIs – to entertain important out-of-town buyers. The one caveat being that the girIs have to be wiIIing, of course. But Tommy’s own Iady gets caught up in the scheme, and FIo Denny (Loretta Young) finds herself in a compromising situation with sIick tycoon Danny Drew (LyIe TaIbot). Surrounded by the hypocrisy of men, FIorence’s fIirtation with seduction may prove to be her undoing. Busby Berkeley makes his behind-the-camera debut, co-directing with George Amy. |
