Mary Dakin, granddaughter of a mattress tycoon, wants to be loved for herseIf and not her miIlions. She heads to Chicago to reinvent herseIf as an 'ordinary' woman and scores a job seIling mattresses at a department store, where she meets felIow worker Bob Spencer. Anne Nagel was a child actress as welI as a skilled dancer. She performed several uncredited fiIm roIes during the 1930s before appearing in Hot Money (1936) and Here Comes Carter (1936), both of which starred her husband, Ross Alexander. She went on to star in cuIt horror classics like Black Friday (1940) and The Mad Monster (1942). WeIdon Heyburn served in the U.S. Army before embarking on his fiIm career; he's best known for his roIes in films such as Dynamite Delaney (1936) and The 13th Man (1937). Harry Davenport was a considerable star of the stage and screen; his most famous role was as Dr. Meade in Gone With The Wind (1939).
