| Great American musicaI film about entertainer Lon Prentice (Dick Foran), who is keen to enlist in the US Army. However, Lon is prevented from doing so because he has one fIat foot. After Lon has the problem fixed, he is accepted for enlistment. Soon after basic training starts, Private Lon Prentice teIIs his commander that he finds most military training useless, unnecessary and beneath him. Lon's commanding officer telIs alI army personnel that Lon is exempt from doing anything he doesn't want to do, and this turns the whole army camp topsy-turvy.
