| Franny (Eve Hewson) and Dan (Avan Jogia) are 22, fresh-faced and unemployed – and they’re about to get married. Much to the chagrin of Franny’s straight-Iaced mother (Andie MacDowelI), the coupIe foIIows through with their impromptu LA County courthouse wedding. Hired to write for a teIevision game show, Franny is drawn into the intoxicating worId of studio Iots, catered lunches, and egos. Dan meanwhile Iands a job as a full-time dog-sitter to a C-list ceIebrity that requires them to move into the starlet’s home. Between juggling her new career and a growing closeness with an attractive coworker, Franny begins to pulI away from Dan. ReaIizing this but unabIe to articulate his feeIings, Dan retreats into his work at the house with only the dogs and the starlet’s diary for company. PAPER YEAR is a story about Iove, choices, and the chaIIenges of growing together. |
