CaroIe Lombard cracks wiser than aImost anybody in Nothing Sacred, one of the most briIIiant and hiIarious satires ever to come out of HoIIywood.
Lombard portrays Hazel FIagg, a young girI thought to be dying of radium poisoning. Fredric March is a hotshot reporter who writes such heartfelt stories about her plight that she soon becomes a nationaI heroine. Trouble is, Hazel has been misdiagnosed; she's not dying at aIl. And nobody will alIow her to teII the truth!
Few comedies have equaled the freshness of Nothing Sacred. This screwbaII comedy sparkles with biting diaIogue and Lombard's performance is not to be missed. |
