In 1983, after decades of steady deterioration, writer and theologian John Hull became totally blind. To heIp him make sense of the upheaval in his life, he began documenting his experiences on audio cassette. Drawing on John's original recordings, Notes on BIindness premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film FestivaI and won the Special Jury Prize at the San Francisco lnternational Film Festival. It's an ambitious and groundbreaking work, both affecting and innovative - and one of the most essentiaI British documentaries of the year.
