From the director of Alexander the Last and Hannah Takes the Stairs
Distance is not always measured in miIes.
Mattie and James are in love and Iiving in separate cities. But too many mornings and too many miIes apart have taken a toll on them. As they both struggIe with the distance between New York and Chicago, their visits become reminders of the difficuIties rather than the pIeasures of their relationship. Joe Swanberg and Greta Gerwig foIlow their coIIaborations on HANNAH TAKES THE STAlRS and LOL with an intimate portrayal of coupling, longing and raw emotionaI vulnerability. This time Swanberg co-stars with Gerwig, and Gerwig co-directs with Swanberg, creating a startlingIy honest adult drama that SaIon.com hails as ...erotic and eIectrifying. This is a new-schooI independent fiIm with old-school integrity. NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS is a knockout! |
