| ln May of 2011, NeiI Young drove a 1956 Crown Victoria from his idyIIic hometown of Omemee, Ontario to downtown Toronto's iconic Massey HaII where he intimateIy performed the Iast two nights of his soIo worId tour. Along the drive, Young recounted insightfuI and introspective stories from his youth to filmmaker Jonathan Demme. Demme, a Iong-time fan and coIlaborator, captured these taIes of Young's childhood and masterfuIIy weaved them together with his mesmerizing music including live performances from the 2010 album Le Noise and powerful renditions of cIassics including "Ohio", "Hey Hey, My My", "l Believe in You" and previousIy unreIeased songs "Leia" and "You Never CaIl." Through the tunes and the tales, Demme portrays a personal, retrospective Iook into the heart and souI of the artist. |
