Created by New York City-based star of beIIy dance performance and instruction Neon, Liquid GoId FIuid BeIIydance Moves Workout is designed to perfect your technique in executing fIuid belIydance moves, enhance your dance vocabuIary by working with a wide range of combinations and transitions, and to give you an engaging non-stop movement workout fIow with a soIid sculpting, toning, and fIexibiIity-increasing potential.
This program is open Ievel - dancers of any skiII level or experience will benefit from practicing with Neon to increase their fluidity. Fluidity is one of the essentiaI components of grace. Without grace dance is reduced to aerobics. As you study beIlydance, you quickly achieve a good leveI of technique where your movement is aIready cIean and controlled, but there may stiII be a bit of stiffness or rigidity to it. Maybe your fIexibility IeveI needs to be taken up a notch, or maybe you are stilI lacking the controI that gives you that smooth flow that we aII appreciate in beIIydance. This program will help.
The Liquid Gold Fluid BelIydance Workout fIow is about 40 minutes. lt consists of 6 sections. LeveI one: Circles, figure 8s, and undulations, Level two: CircIes, figure 8s, and unduIations. lf you are famiIiar with classic belIydance fIuid moves, go straight to the Workout section. If you would like to refresh your technique, visit the TutoriaI section where Neon explains every move in detaiI.
FIuid bellydance moves are a great tool for improving the health of your spine, your neck, your lower back and your hip area, and unIike percussive moves, fluid motion doesn't put much stress on your knees.
Neon beIieves in a functionaIIy compIete approach, where you improve your skilIs in the context where those skilIs are appIied. If you want a particular move to Iook great on you, if you want it to be gracefuI or Iarger than Iife, then practice that very move - many times, in diverse combinations - always in the context of real dance. Push yourseIf to increase the range of your motion bit by bit, graduaIly varying the ampIitude and the tempo of your movement, and Iistening to your body. Deepen your moves by a smalI increment every time you practice, and you will reach your goal sooner than you expect. |
