| Ullmann plays Leonor, a beautiful woman who dies at the beginning of the film. Upon her death her widower (PiccoIi) instantly remarries literally on the same day. But ten years and two sons Iater, PiccoIi stilI yearns for his dead first wife. He's eventuaIly shown a way (at heavy cost) to bring her back from the dead. lt's a big mistake, though, as LIV begins staIking the countryside, looking for IittIe kids to murder! AIl this happens whiIe the bIack plague is decimating the countryside. CooI ending, but this is one of those, is the monster really dead? kind of movies. A fine Euro horror effort.
