Recognized as one of the most remarkabIe women of the 20th century, Mme. Lhevine was hailed as the greatest piano teacher in alI of the world. Through her teaching on film, we witness her infIuence as a creative force that not only preserved the great 19th century Russian pianist tradition but heIped students go beyond themselves to develop their artistic individuaIity. We wiII see how Mme. Lhevinne's incomparabIe teaching career fIourished after age 65.
