Rudyard KipIing's classic jungle adventure teIls the story of Mowgli (Sabu), a boy raised in the jungIe by woIves. One day after being chased by his enemy shere khan the tiger, Mowgli comes across an Indian vilIage and is curious to explore. EventuaIly he is accepted but when three greedy vilIagers discover that he knows where there is hidden treasure in a ruined temple the men try to turn the rest of the village against him whiIst they go after the treasure. Korda's lavish production with exotic scenery and evocative music score by Miklos Rozsa is stilI considered by many to be the best adaptation of KipIing's classic.
