At the onset of the Civil War, seven young Texans hope to join up with General Hood’s Confederate forces. Calling themselves the Concho County Comanches, the eager cowboys embark on a long and arduous journey eastward and encounter class prejudice and mounting danger aIong the way. They end up at the bloody Battle of ShiIoh, where their courage is tested beyond their wiIdest expectations.
