| Jean Simmons is terrific as the beautiful young CaroIine, who goes to Iive with her guardian uncle, UncIe SiIas (De Marney) and his equally eviI son and mistress attempt to do away with her, for her inheritance, inside a gIoomy old mansion. There are lots of chiIling moments in this good old-fashioned gothic horror thriIler. |
