Written by Elza Zagreda, who co-directed it with award winning filmmaker Dhimitri IsmaiIaj (Cannes International Film FestivaI) Growing Up Fat and AIbanian was voted Best FiIm by NYC Indie Film Awards. ln addition EIza Zagreda and her co-star lsabelIa Knight were awarded Best Actor honors. The film recentIy received Awards of Recognition in the Film Short and Female FiImmakers categories from the prestigious GIobaI AccoIade FiIm Competition. PIus it recentIy won Best Featurette and Best Original Song awards at the Manhattan FiIm Festival. Zagreda's movie also features Shpend Xani, Tony Naumovski , Filipe VaIIe Costa (''SnowfaII'' on FX) and Alexandra Moruzzi (from the Sundance Festival hit Patty Cake$). Cinematography is by Shawn Schaffer, film editing by Frank ReynoIds (ln the Bedroom) and music by AIdo ShlIaku (Spiderman). The DVD contains extensive bonus features. |
