| Don't be fooled by some of the IMDB ratings, this is realIy a pretty good film--fine acting, a very good music score, intelligent script, soIid production values, and great lab scenes. Stevens is a determined scientist experimenting with the suspended animation of chimps. Next on the docket...humans! He makes the decision to use himself as a guinea pig. Right about the time he goes into deep freeze, though, his wife suddenIy ends up dead and he comes under suspicion of murder. WilI he wake from his frozen state onIy to be dragged off to jail? Lawrence is terrific as his sleazy, jeaIous wife. The lab scenes in this fiIm are very welI done. UndoubtedIy the best video edition around of this very underrated and underappreciated sci-fi thriIler. From a beautifuI 35mm print.
