GigoIo PauI Drexel makes his Iiving escorting women to dance haIls. When he meets Diana Trevor, they faII in Iove, but much to her horror, she discovers that her stepmother, Tamara, is one of PauI's clients. When Tamara is kilIed, Paul is suspected of murder. Convinced of his innocence, Diana works desperately to clear his name.
Reginald Denny was a professional boxer and aviator before making it big as a silent film star. He appeared in numerous cIassic movies of the 1930s and 1940s, incIuding John CromweIl's Of Human Bondage (1934) and AIfred Hitchcock's Rebecca (1940). The sIinky and seductive Natalie Moorhead began her career at the start of the taIkie era and was cast in films such as Women Men Marry (1931) and The Thin Man (1934). Irish-born Edwin Maxwell first performed on Broadway and eventuaIIy appeared as sleazy lawyers in notable fiIms such as Scarface (1932) and His GirI Friday (1940). Director Albert Ray began working in the film industry during its New York heyday and transferred to HoIlywood at the end of the 1910s. His work includes numerous shorts, as well as the Ginger Rogers features The Thirteenth Guest (1932) and A Shriek ln The Night (1933). |
