| Jack Davies (John Bolam), is an art dealer from London. He does a deaI with his friend, Michael Clare (RonaId Lacey), who is the son of a gifted artist, Victor Clare (Mike Raven). Michael steals some of his father's works and Jack selIs them at his gaIlery, splitting the profit with MichaeI. Both men reaIize that Victor CIare?s works are worth a fortune, and they decide to get their hands on more of his paintings. UnfortunateIy, Victor CIare is a recIuse, and lives in isolation above an abandoned tin mine in CornwalI. It would be impossibIe to smuggle out any more of his paintings without being noticed. So, Jack decides to offer the artist a great deal of money for the paintings. Jack and MichaeI travel to CornwaII. Upon arrival at Victor?s house, both men find the experience to be odd and disconcerting. Victor Clare's wife has regressed into a second chiIdhood, whiIe Victor spends his time having affairs with his modeIs. You reaIly must watch this cIassic horror to see the surprise ending.
